New Pet Insurance Policy

cat insurance basicsPet owners take note: ther’s a new kind of pet insurance policy in town.  Just when you though there was no where else for pet insurers to go up pops another option for you, this time in the form of pet insurance for tenants.

The idea is that the new policy makes it simpler for estate agents and letting agents across the UK. Perfect for smoothing deal-breaking situations where a landlord is not as keen on pets as the potential tenant, TenantCare Cat and TenantCare Dog insurance from Petpals Direct can be taken out by the pet-owner to insure against property damage the pet may cause to the rented accommodation.

Designed specifically for tenants living with cats or dogs, it is the only product of its kind on the market. Not only does it insure against property damage caused by the pet, it also includes cover for common types of accident and illness.

Currently the pet insurance policy for dogs and cats is only being offered by one company in Petpals Direct but it is believed that the rest of the industry may soon follow suit.

Prices start from £5.17 per month for cat insurance, and £8.42 per month for dog insurance and the policy allows pet owners to claim up to £700 for damage caused by cats or dogs during the first three years of living in any rental property. There is also £1,500 of vet bill cover as usual for cat insurance and £2,000 for dog insurance policy.
